I even ran CCLeaner in between deletes / reinstalls. The failure triggers seem to be any time the program starts to create a preview, or if I ask it to do anything at all.Īnd yes, after deleting Topaz I have deleted absolutely everything else - there is no way to normally uninstall them, and Topaz's instructions were to simply delete the entire folders before re-installing, which I did.

Both lock up the PC to the point of needing a hard power cycle to fix (reset button doesn't even work). when the GPU is enabled, I lose a picture.

Yes, as I mentioned in my OP, all drivers are up to date including GPU.Īlso, as I mentioned in my OP, disabling the GPU and using CPU only causes a BSOD - so the only difference being I can still see what is on my monitor, vs. Mostly found in user/AppData/local/topaz labs? If you delete the Topaz Labs plug-ins, do you also delete left over folders etc. Have you turned off the gpu feature and using cpu rendering?Īccording to some, rendering via cpu yields better results then using GPU for rendering. Have you updated the graphics card driver? So, they have unfortunately been no help and I am out a bunch of money for their products.ĭoes anyone have any suggestions or has anyone else experienced a similar issue? Thanks for reading. I opened a new support ticket with them, and all they suggested was to re-install again after I already told them I had done that. I have emailed them multiple times over the last 2 weeks and have not heard anything. Topaz' support told me to reinstall the programs, and then when that didn't work they stopped replying to me. Do these programs require 1000 series or higher Nvidia GPUs to work? The only thing I can possibly think of at this point is my GPU is too old, but it isn't that old and is still very powerful. I should also note that Photoshop CC crashes my PC in the same way when I try to use the new re-size tool, so something to do with how this task is being fed to the GPU seems to be the culprit. Nvidia Titan X 12GB (Maxwell / 900 series era)ĭrivers are all up to date on everything and I am using the Sep 27 releases of the Topaz products. I have reinstalled everything multiple times including the Sep 27 updates with no success.

I believe this happens whenever it calls on my GPU, however if I set it to only use my CPU, I get the "blue screen of death" which isn't much better than the full blackout I get with the GPU. Basically, as soon as either program goes to build the preview, it crashes. In either Gigapixel AI or Sharpen AI, as soon as I open an image, my entire PC will crash to the point that the monitor loses a video feed and the reset button doesn't even work, only a HARD power off will fix it (PC power stays on, but everything else shuts down and the only way to recover is a hard power cycle). Really disappointed with that company at the moment to be honest, I thought they were better and now I am regretting buying their AI suite.Īnyway, I'll do my best to keep this brief: Topaz support has been ignoring me for 2 weeks now so I am hoping maybe someone else has found a solution.
